Summer Flowers II - For Delphine

This is what I have accomplished in the past week over a few nights, an hour each time. I was tired during the process as work ended as late as 8pm a few times last week. But as Summer Flowers II started to form, the sense of satisfaction excited me and I forgot about the tiredness :)

Some stones as the same as the first version, such as Carnelian, Peridot, Canadian Jade, Coral. In place of Amethyst, dyed pink jade and white pearls, I chose white shell pearl, red coral and cream pearls. SUper sweet!

Cream strap is suede leather, and other parts are 925 silver.

Willow Flowers $ 40

This is a result of me experimenting with lampwork beads. Lampwork beads are made of glass with beautiful patterns in them. These are pink ones in barrel shape and have blue and cream frangipani flowers in them. The real thing is paler than illustrated here.

To enhance these colours, I tied big and small white freshwater pearls onto the leather cord with the lampwork beads. These protruding shapes give the necklace a good contour and elegance. Bears resemblance to CNY white Willow flowers! :)

Can be worn both short and long. Personally I like it long with a white-collar working shirt.

Pheonix $ 33

This is a very exciting piece. Long dangling earrings with 14K gold-filled chains and ear hooks (suitable for sensitive skin).

Those rich colours come from Coral, a tear-drop Carnelian, Amethyst and freshwater pearls. Put on with a cashmere shaw and you look elegantly dressed up already! :)

(Length can be customised.)

Ballerina $ 30

The pink ribbons remind me of ballet shoes!

Doughnut-shaped agate with pink ribbon, pink coral, freshwater pearls (gold and white) and Swarovski crystals.

Crystal $ 20

This is NOT Swarovski crystal, but real quartz crystal :) You probably know by now that I like natural things more than synthetic ones, because minerals are the artistic works of nature over a long, long period of time.

The hearts are a 925-silver base gold-plated, and have an antique finish. The other parts, including the ear hooks are 14K gold-filled.

Blushing Pink $ 18

Made for Yilin. Freshwater pearls with Swarovski crystals, set in silver.

Made for Sue

Sue asked for Pearlyn with bigger pearls. This is how it looks. I contrasted the bigger nuggets with small, mauve ones. The irregular shape of the pearls make the necklace look more interesting.

Chinoiserie $ 29 (exclusively 2 pairs)

Cinnabar is a red mineral found near regions with hot springs or volcanic activity. It has been used as a carving material in China since a long time back. Chinoiserie is made up of a pair of such well-carved Cinnabar. [The name refers to an artistic style which reflects Chinese influence.]

So to make it more 'Chinoiserie', I paired the Cinnabar with a flat tear-drop jade! Other parts are 14K gold-filled. A unique piece combining both tradition and style. Dangles ~ 5cm below ear lobe.

Serenity II $ 30

Another Citrine creation, with a faceted Citrine drop of good grade.

Other faceted stones that make up these Autumn colours are Peridot, Carnelian and Rhodonite, set on a 14K gold-filled (better than gold-plated) kidney ear wire. I have 'closed' the ear wire loop so that the stones will not come out of the ear wire.

Pink Bonbon $ 28 (Very limited pieces)

This is my first attempt to use merely 925 silver wire to make the 'structure' of the earrings. The effect is quite good because it still dangles, but differently from a chain. Very sweet and elegant.

The rest are pink and orange Coral, and white freshwater pearl. I only have a few pieces of the big coral (too ex to stock up anymore for the time being). Length is in between 3.5 to 4cm.

Heather now owns this pair :)

Vote for your favourite FloralBox paperbag design! :)

Hello ladies,

Please drop me a line in my Chatterbox or an email to tell me which design you think is appropriate for a small paperbag, taking into account
a. the style of my jewelry and whether the design goes with it
b. how durable the look is (you might need to look at it over a few days to know)
c. etc.

Yellow one will be referred to as 'Y' (consider only the top left corner of the collage).

Refer to the pale one as 'P'.

Refer to the orange one as 'O', and try to visualise a thick, white border above and below it. In other words, it will be set horizontally across a white background.

Refer to the green one as 'G'. Maybe the idea of white border can also work for it.

These are royalty-free designs which I can print on my paperbags without copy-right issues, for a nominal fee. The real one will have a high resolution and without the watermark in the centre.

Actually, I want to have floral designs that look very Laural Ashley or Robert Allen, like these:

However these are not royalty-free designs and the resolution is low when enlarged.

If you are able to help me find designs / sites like http://www.dreamstime.com/ which has designs similar to these above, and should I find my dream design from your recommendations, I am more than happy to craft a personalised piece of jewelry as a token of my heartfelt appreciation! Thanks in advance. If not, a vote will be of great help already!

Note: the above website allows downloading of high resolution designs at a low cost. Too bad I can't get anything Laural-Ashley there :( Some keywords that help are: Romantic, Floral, English, Country, Victorian...

Angel $ 18

An uncomplicated, elegant pair of earrings.

Yellow jade, onyx, white freshwater pearls and a shell with a lovely lustre.

Set in 925 silver.

Dessert Wine $ 16

This is a remake of what I used to have when I started out. I can afford better stones now :)

Faceted Garnet, Peridot, Rhodonite and freshwater pearls.

The picture does not reflect the true colour of the Garnet which looks so black! Imagine the colour of red wine.

Xiao Qing 小青 $ 35 (jade)

This is the pair of earrings I have been telling some of you about - something which I am dying to post but can't do it til I really run of things to post (too busy). I apologise to appear to be passive towards many of your orders - I will try to drop you a mail as soon as I settle my work.

Recently I have fallen in love with Prehnite, a translucent stone with an apple-green tone. Over here I teamed it with a gold vermeil bead and a piece of doughnut jade. Ear wire is 925 silver, can be locked when worn. It is another proud Oriental creation, named after the lady Green Snake in the Chinese 'Legend of the White Snake'.

Note: I only have one pair of jade in this shade of green. Other nice greens will be paler or close to the colour of white jade.

Old Lace earrings $ 16

I pondered over the word 'old' and 'vintage' and decided that I like the first better for this pair of earrings!

Cream pearls decorated in old-copper bead caps.

If you have sensitive ears I can change the ear wires to a 925 silver hook.

Aqua Earrings $ 22

Back to the classic look again! (Heather and many others had commented that there was a shift in my style, haha!)

This is designed for Michelle (Sue's good friend) who requested for something 'that has a water effect'. Haha a vague but interesting description :P

What else can be more 'water-effect' than Aquamarine itself? I hope Michelle will like this pair of earrings. The stones have a very pale shade of blue.
