Sunset III $ 42 - ONE precious pair only SOLD

I love the combination of multicolour Tourmaline with yellow jade. It never goes wrong.

One of these yellow jade doughnuts have a tiny tint of green. And they are quite well-polished. I have attached a few pink/green faceted Tourmaline pieces to each piece of jade on gold-filled chains.

These are the last of my remaining Tourmaline hearts.

Cream Leaves $ 30 (Tentatively 2 pairs*) SOLD, pls order by Sat

I declare this my favourite creation for the past 2 weeks!

Creamy, carved Agate leaves that are so polished that they shine! These are one of my recent best buys alongside with the jade pieces.

I have attached floral petals comprising of Keishi Pearls and my precious gold freshwater pearls. The gold ones are very precious to me because they are hard to come by in the right shade of gold (or else they become either yellow or bronze).

Notice another carved component - the beige, small Mother of Pearl leave.

The whole combo unexpectedly looks so femine and Korean. And it is so versatile - you can wear these to weddings or Sunday brunch.
*As usual, I may be able to get more materials to make more but it all depends on when your orders are placed and whether I have too many other ideas on my beading agenda :)*

More coming up later this week - check back please

:)

Blue Potpourri $ 32 - ONE pair SOLD

I seldom make anything in blue nowadays :)

This pair of Amazonite carved flowers are very precious to me as I could only get one pair. Not sure if I could get anymore. They sit nicely in Lapis rectangular vases with Keishi Pearl petals and pink freshwater pearls.

I miss jewelry-making with 'free-form wiring' and I was so excited when I was at it again.

Fanny (Necklace) $ 30 - ONLY piece

When I saw this 4-petal green carved flower (Agate or Prehnite, I can't tell), I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it!

These are all brass components. There are not many elements on it but it is already an eye-catching piece and it stands out against the skin.

There are freshwater pearls of various sizes along the chain. You wear/remove the necklace with a toggle right at the chest. Chain is slightly longer than choker. It rests nicely at the collar bone.

Autumn Garden Brooch/Choker $ 32 (Max 3 pieces ONLY)

This can be either a brooch or a choker. I prefer it to be a brooch and intended it to be one.

I have used the same brown Keishi pearls which look like dried leaves in my earlier chokers/brooches. These go perfectly with pink freshwater pearls and a plum-peach carved Agate flower. There is a little gold ribbon somewhere at the bottom of the loop.
Highlight of the piece is the same perfect (and I really mean the best grade) Citrine in chandelier shape which was featured in the Songbirds earrings. It is hung off-centred. If you wear this as a brooch, you can decide if you want to wear it dangling off-centred or not.

Embroidered Green (Jade) $ 25 (Max 2 pieces ONLY) SOLD

I enjoyed adding these tiny white pearls onto my jade pieces! It is like adding lace to a normal blouse.

This is a white-silver-green combo. There are 2 pieces of jade on each earring. It is dangling but very dainty too. Good to go with white, flowy summer blouses or white tees.

I won't be making a second pair if my precious rice pearls run out. This batch of pearls are my favourite and I just couldn't find similar ones with such good size and lustre. Jade with such green is hard to come by too.

Black Frosted Jade Doughnut $ 20 (Currently ONE pair ONLY *) SOLD, pls write to reserve

These aren't exactly the best pictures I can take, but with a kid walking around and trying to get into the pictures...I got to be REAL fast.

These Jade doughnuts are actually greener than what is shown here. I have 'embroidered' them with Black Spinel which are very very sparkly. The diameter of the jade is only around 1.5cm, very dainty. For those who do not like big pieces of jade.
* I can make more but it will be a few weeks later when I make my next shopping trip for more jade.*

...will be during the weekend when I can take pictures during the day.

A few delicate jade pieces and some delicate carved leaves and flowers. I will post them up ALL at one go. Thanks for coming back :)

Endless Knot $ 33 (One pair only) SOLD

I love this pair of carved white jade! This is an endless knot - no beginning and no end, symbolising reunion forever.

These two pieces are slightly tinted with a little green in the usual jade. I have kept it simple by hanging two Onyx smooth drops to keep the focus on the jade pieces.

925 silver earwires.

Watermelon Punch $ 52

These Watermelon Tourmaline are a rare find! I have come across Watermelon Tourmaline many times and this is the first time I decided to spend that kind of money on them.

So what is Watermelon Tourmaline? It refers to Tourmaline with multiple colours occuring together on the same piece. Usual colours are pink and green (in various shades), and sometimes in blue. It is more rare than the usual Tourmaline, which is already higher in price relative to the other gemstones.

Someone told me that Tourmaline was also Empress Dowager's favourite gemstones.

So in this creation, I have combined Rose Quartz of excellent grade (check out the clarity of the stones) and 6 precious slices of Watermelon Tourmaline for a low price. In fact, I bought these Rose Quartz pears just for the Watermelone Tourmaline!

Little Jade Peaches (Excellent stuff) $ 45 per pair - 2 unique pairs ONLY

I must say that these are the best of all jade pieces I bought recently in terms of quality. In chinese, this is 冰种玉, a higher grade of jade that has a translucency, like ice. You can check out a jade counter at CK Tangs and find that something similar to these cost over $300!
I tried looking for more of these in other jade shops but I didn't manage to find anything close.
And the most interesting part in the carvings is that the jade loop is a continuous piece - imagine the skills involved during the carving!
These are so elegant that I have decided not to add any gemstones or pearls to them. They come in 2 shades of green - mint (in my own description) and yellow-green (nice rare colour). I can't decide which I like better. But if they are not sold, I will be keeping one pair for myself and another for my little girl.
These juicy peaches are hung on my favourite elegant gold-plated earwires but I can change them to the usual gold-filled ones upon request.

Song Birds $ 38 SOLD ALL in Citrine

These should be put on display in a display cabinet!

A pair of pink and white carved Mother of Pearl birds sit around sweet polymer flowers, freshwater pearls (white, pink, gold) and a PERFECT Citrine Chandelier drop hangs down. The 'frames' are silver-plated, the one with the branch ordered from Korea. Chain and earwires are 925 silver.
Wear these with some feminine, lacy stuff which I am so crazy about now.
Note: Subsequent pairs may look different from what you see here.

Carved White Jade $ 32 (ONE pair) SOLD

These are a rare find! There were a few other pieces in that Jade shop which I visited, but they vary in colour, shape and thickness.
I have attached 2 gemmy Chrysophase drops which are close to perfection (almost no dark spots). The whole thing hangs on a 925 silver leverback earwire.

Back to beading :)

Yes it has been a good break for me. I slept a lot and spent a lot of time with Chunchun baby. The worst part of my second pregnancy seemed to be over - nausea. I didn't gain much weight during my first trimester and I am secretly happy about it. And now as I am about to move on into my third trimester, I suddenly realise that once No. 2 pops out, I would have even less time for myself!

So that's why the sudden urge to start beading.

And....I have been BUYING and BUYING beads over the past 6 months! :)
