Sunny Jade Cocktail $ 25 - 2 pairs only SOLD ALL

These were my new finds during my most recent trip to buy loose jade pieces. They are relatively more rare than the green ones, because the yellow hues are nice and pastel.

Chika III $ 42 for the usual 'hooks', $ 45 for goldfilled leverbacks

These are really pretty and ultra-sweet! I like the contrast between the size of the 3-petal flowers.

The pink petals are of the best Rose Quartz I have ever bought, while the orange ones are of rare Mandrin Garnet. Goldfilled leverback earwires are featured in the photos.

Jade and Flower $ 27 - 2 Pairs ONLY

For jade lovers again :) This is the last of my jade series for the time being.

I have tied 2 round, smooth jade dougnuts (thicker ones this time round) on a brass frame with a Japanese orange, clay flower and a cluster of onyx beads. Every pair of jade dougnuts is different :) The orange clay flowers brighten up the whole piece. Vintage and nice.

Embroidered Jade Pillows $ 15 (4 pairs only)

These pale-green coloured 2D carved jade flowers are back!

I have attached a 4-petal pink, pearl flower to each of them. Dainty and wearable!

White Flowers II $ 40 - 2 pairs only SOLD

These are of the same quality as the MOP flowers I used in the previous version, but are slightly more expensive due to the more delicate carving (5 petals).

In this version, I used Moonstone drops for a whiter, natural look. The 3rd picture shows the flash of the rainbow moonstones. Silver cloth included.

Chika II $ 39 (3 pairs ONLY)

I made the 1st version of Chika sometime last year and surprisingly it sold off like hot potatoes. Anyway, no intention of copying the 1st version, just sharing the same name as I run out of ideas for names that describe little flowers.

This time round, I used faceted, vibrant little GEMSTONES (Amethyst and Apatite) and silverish freshwater pearls to make flowers, and priced them lowly due to the current recession. They glitter a lot!

I have set the round frames such that the flowers are facing the front, but in actual fact, no one has ears that face the front head-on, so these little earrings will dangle at a tilted angle from the front.

Saving GAIA (and postage cost)

I won't be including boxes for items below $30. This is to help cut costs so that I can continue to absorb postage and keep prices low. This is NOT to entice you to buy items >$30.

For items above $30, I include boxes mainly for protection of jewellery. But I will really appreciate if you can do without boxes. Most of my customers find the boxes unnecessary.

When I save a box, I also save ~ $0.30 of postage. I promise I will wrap your jewellery well so that they will not be damaged when they reach you.

I can include little paper bags (pastel colour, glossy surface) though as they do not incur additional postage. However, ask for them only when you need them.

In the case you really really need a box for items below $30, you can get a box at $1. But please note that I DO NOT sell boxes alone. I will not entertain requests for buying just boxes.

As you probably know, I am trying to sustain this hobby and keep this blog running so that I can recover material costs, more than making profit. I don't really charge for man-hours or worksmanship, maybe just a little overhead costs. I hope to continue enjoy the satisfaction I get when something I made get appreciated and bought by someone out there :)

White Flowers (almost all 925 silver components) $ 35 - ONE pair only SOLD

These are the best MOP (Mother of Pearl) carved flowers I have ever seen. They are clean and white in colour, and what makes MOP attractive is the 'flash' - silvery sheen when carved at the right angle.

These are from Japan and cost quite a bomb. I have been holding onto them for sometime and couldn't bear to use them.

But anyway sometime back when I watched the re-cast of '宫' (Korean drama of a young girl married to a prince), I noticed that the actress wore a very pretty pair of dangling white earrings and so I decided to to make something in white. I have dangled a white pearl and a Swarovski Crystal below for a pure, sparkling look. Most of the components (pins and earwires) are in 925 silver. You will get a small piece of silver-polish cloth.

These look really very feminine. You can wear these to weddings, for (your) wedding, or when you are wearing something white or pastel.

Wild Clover $ 33 (Previously priced wrongly!)

Yes - in love with polished stones recently :)

Clover leaves formed with Yellow Beryl Aquamarine and Green Tourmaline. So organic/natural looking, especially when these Tourmaline beads are imperfect in their unique ways.

Paris $ 32 - ONE pair only, priced lowly to de-stash SOLD!

Golden yellow freshwater pearls! I was surprised to be able to get such designer Vermeil (gold-coated) pearls. They are so extravagant-looking.

These are the last 2 'perfect' pieces of Citrine I have. Combining both the gold from the pearls and the rich, honey tone of the Citrine makes the whole creation looks so stylish. Very presentable when worn to grand functions and dinners.

A faceted onyx bead is used in the centre of the four-petal flower.

Glass Petals $ 32 (Discounted - 2 pairs ONLY) SOLD

These are the most difficult photographs to be taken, because THEY SHINE SO MUCH AND REFLECT TOO MUCH LIGHT! I have taken dozens of shots of them before settling on these pictures which try to show how pretty the real thing is! Haha it's a happy complaint :)

These smooth Citrine fans are one of my oldest collections and I have been hiding them away like a treasure. It's really hard to get Citrine of this clarity, and polished (extra treatment on the stones). I haven't seen them around ever since I got them.

And these Citrine gems go so well with Keishi petals motif. Together, they create a 4-petal flower that is warm in tone, and is very very elegant.

I promise you that you are getting something value-for-money and this feminine piece will be one of your favourite pairs of earrings.

Updates

1. My most sincere apologies to those who are still waiting for your jade pieces to arrive in your letter box. I have yet to make a trip to buy the jade, and I am also holding on to the pieces that I have on hand so that I can refer to them when buying.

2. I managed to make a few new items and I am very excited about them. However I have yet to find time to take pictures.

We are coping with a new situation - Chunchun trying to get used to childcare. She has become very attached to us when she's at home. She is always asking for 抱抱 and at night, she would wake up many times, walking from her room to ours, wanting to sleep with us. Often, she would cry and shout for Papa and Mama as she wails, dragging her pillow and blanket with her.

So, we have been putting her to CIO - Cry It Out, a cold turkey treatment which is supposed to end this new habit of waking up in a few days' time. For the past nights, we have been coping with 2 ~ 3 hours of sleep everyday. Today, Laogong was so tired that he had to take leave from work (I can't, as I have to finish urgent tasks on hand). The kid probably feels tired too. It has been very emotionally and physically-draining for all of us. And I know that it has been extremely hard for little Chunchun who is currently experiencing a strong sense of insecurity with the near-arrival of another member of the family.

Embroidered Old Jade 绣古玉 $ 33 - ONE pair only

This is a very pretty pair of honey jade (yellow) which looks very serene and neat. It is mustard in colour :) The carvings probably symbolise something (it doesn't matter, right?).

I have again attached a 4-petal pearl flower onto it. Leverback earwires are 925 silver.

My Little Chun (sigh...being a mum)

Today was the first day she attended childcare.

I had earlier thought that it was going to be easy, just like attending Sunday School in church, enjoying the music and toys and the company of little people her own size and age. And it would only be for only 3 hours for a start.

But right now, Laogong and I feel sad and confused about the whole thingy - is it too early? Or should we send her to childcare at all?

I wonder if all parents feel this way on the first day.

Basically the teachers were not able to give each child enough attention. And Chun was sticking to me like anything, in her alien, new, uncomfortable uniform, and wondering why she was there, and why that other kid with brown hair kept pointing to her little moles on her face and saying 'dirty'. During lunch, she was obviously hungry as she was furiously packing spoonfuls of rice into her mouth, but the rice was too hard for her to swallow. In the end, she could only finish half her portion while other kids could finish everything.

I thank God that a precious friend, JL was there for her when I had to be away for the later part. She was what Chun needed - a familiar face. She brought Chun back to her house nearby and played with her. I think that part was most enjoyable for my little girl, the highlight of the day.

Jade Cocktail $ 25 (2 pieces ONLY) SOLD

These are very dainty! I have connected 2 cute pieces of green jade together with a cluster of freshwater pearls.

This is definitely untraditional and I am happy with this idea :))))
