Vintage Valentine Bracelet $ 28 Aquamarine Clover Earrings $ 20

Waiyen's request for a matching bracelet to go with her necklace. I have always wanted to make a bracelet with Garnet dangling along. Somehow I know it will make my hands look fairer and more 'you-shiu' :)

Have also added small garnet beads to her aquamarine clover earrings to touch up! Pictures were quite badly taken that you can see the clarity and glistening of the aquamarine and garnet. Also, the garnet looks once again black.

Candy Mix $ 29

Cheerful colours of all sorts - Fluorite, Peridot, Cherry Quartz (cherry colour), Rose Quartz and Aquamarine. I used flash light from my camera to show the pretty colours more clearly.

My Birthday

Today 22/2 is my birthday! I am pleasantly surprised by the well wishes and presents my colleagues and family gave me. :)

As for my Laogong, it was really sweet of him to go shopping secretly and picked something nice. We have been celebrating birthdays, Christmas-es and Anniversaries for the past 8 years and I am very close to giving up buying presents as I have run out of ideas what to buy for him each time. For his birthday last Dec, I simply gave him Heeren vouchers as I could not think of anything he does not have or anything he would love to have! He jokingly commented that we might as well give each other angbaos next time :D

But he still insisted in getting something special for me each time, no matter how difficult it could be. This time, it is a nice little mirror that I can hang up and look into while making my beaded jewelry, as well as a box of my favourite Jap Daifuko! Green Tea somemore!!! Haha! So happy.....

Ebony Petals $ 33 Limited pieces only

Again, this is inspired by Heather who wants something black to go with her black tank-tops and spaghettis. Well-cut Onyx together with a little pale-pink ceramic rose.

The rose is quite durable as the ceramic has been specially treated. It is brought to Singapore by a Japanese lady and I doubt anyone can get it anywhere else. The rose comes in light green, off-white, light blue and pink colours.

Condensation $ 60

This will be the last of my Aquamarine creations for the time being :) Tear-drop shaped stones arranged in order of size. Yes, it looks VERY precious! Dangles very nicely around your neck, at the collar. 14 K gold-filled chain as well.

You might be wondering why I used gold chains more often than silver. I used to dislike yellow gold but trust me, it really brings out the colours of stones better, and gold is becoming trendy again. When the colour of 14 K gold-filled chains darken slightly over time (it's way of 'tarnishing'), it looks very vintage.

Spring Dew $ 60

I hope the name doesn't sound like a condo to you, haha! But it does look like droplets of water. Like what I mentioned to Waiyen, aquamarine looks like on its own already, so I created this luxurious piece. Chain is 14 K gold-filled (NOT gold-plated, but better!). Collar-bone length.

Vintage Valentine $ 55

This is one of my personal favourite. It has a durable look. However each time I take pictures of garnet, the colour looks black more than deep-red on the photos.

So far, Aquamarine goes best with either moonstone or pearls or garnet. This two-tier necklace is inspired by Waiyen who wants to have something that can be worn to work (durable look!) frequently and at the same time has Aquamarine on it.

You will definitely fall in love with it when you see how it looks like when worn. All garnet and aquamarine beads used here are quite well faceted.

Water Colours Earrings $ 32

Heather will love this pair of earrings. Very simple, elegant and designer-style! I tried to choose aquamarine stones of compatible colours and size, but most of these stones have some little flaws in them which give them unique 'identity' and character! These 'water colours' come in pink, blue, colourless, yellowish and green. For Heather, I have picked yellowish and green to go together.

Riveria $ 30

Name was an idea from Stella :) Almost the same colour combo as Laguna Isle but stones are bigger. Also, I have added a faceted light-minty-green quartz on each earring, with turqoise and pearls. The aquamarine at the bottom is tear-drop shaped. Chain in the middle is rhodium coated and will not tarnish as easily as silver.

Melody $ 30

Another sweet color combo - Light purple Amethyst, rose quartz, aquamarine and tourmaline. All stones are quite well cut :)

This is Heather's request as a gift for her good friend.

Something Basic $ 30

Something basic, something off-white, something pearlish for one of Geraldine's bridesmaids!

Off-white/champagne and white freshwater pearls teamed together with Swarovski crystals. Second picture is quite lousy but I meant to show you the tear-drop crystal hanging in the middle.

Water Colours (Bracelet) $ 33

If you have seen Aquamarine, you know that Aquamarine is usually blue. But I managed to purchase this rare lot of Aquamarine in its various colours - blue, colourless, pink, green and yellow! I had seen it before but it was very unaffordable. A very nice bracelet indeed at an affordable price :)

For Geraldine's 4th Bridesmaid. Lucky her.

Morning Glory (Earrings) $ 22

Need I say more? :)

Morning Glory (Bracelet) $ 35 (price revised 09-06-06)

Geraldine's third bracelet for her bridesmaids :) White pearls bundled into clusters, teamed together with dark and light amethyst. Chain and everything else is 14K gold-filled (better than gold-plating), and wiring is non-tarnish wire.

If you look at it closely, you will see that it is actually two-tier to give a more elaborate effect.

Amethyst is the birthday stone for February too!

Rain Drops $ 32

The solution to tarnishing of 925 Silver is rhodium. Rhodium is a non-precious metal but it is very durable. The aquamarine and peridot stones are very clear and lovely. Definitely something precious to wear and makes you feel feminine. :)

Nectarine $ 18

Some of you might have seen this already! Dedicated to Vineyard (previous post) lovers like Yilin...Hooks are 14 K gold-filled, will not tarnish as easily as silver. Coral, pearl and Peridot.

Pink Lilies (Earrings) $ 17

Matching earrings for its bracelet below!

Pink Lilies (Bracelet) $ 30

Again made for one of Geraldine's bridesmaids, who would like something in pink. Idea came to me when I saw a picture of a beautiful bouquet of pink lilies. The pink here is a refreshing change from the usual baby, pale pink. Great when worn with loud shades of pink too! :)

Champagne pearls, mother of pearl (white), dyed jade (bright pink), dyed coral (lighter pink) and emerald chips.

Blueberries Earrings $ 15 (Nett)

This is a matching pair of earrings for Blueberries bracelet. Simple and sweet :)

Blueberries (Bracelet) $ 30

This bracelet is made specially for Geraldine (Ang)'s wedding :) She wanted something purple for one of her bridesmaids. I can't quite decide if this bracelet is more purple or more blue. The stone charms dangle as your hand moves.

The stones used are peridot, blue-lace agate, light amethyst and purple pearls. Chain is 14 K gold-filled (NOT gold-plated but better). Although 14 K gold-filled chain does not tarnish, it is advisable to avoid contact with perfume or soap water, and wipe it often with a soft cloth.
