Palette of Colours $ 45

I saw something like this at a shopping centre being priced at $288 ~ $328!

Again, I got to ask you to imagine the colour of the Rose Quartz to be more pink than this. Rose Quartz with Garnet and Amethyst. All other parts are in 925 silver.

Bundle of Pearls $ 30

A cocoon of small, white freshwater pearls on a 925 silver chain. Simple and elegant.

I made a ring in the same fashion quite some time ago :) This is specially made by good friend C!

Fruity Summer sold out

Dear Ladies, thanks for your emails regarding the above - wow what a surprise!

But I will be glad to make something similar but simpler, without those pretty white agate.

Fruity Summer $ 30 (2 pairs only)

An overflow of sweet colours from coral, Amazonite, Rose Quartz and White Agate. Two butterflies dangle at the end of both chains.

Blue Poppies $ 26

These are of genuine Turqoise, not dyed Howlite. It is easy to tell because of the other natural colours on the stones.

The flowers on top are actually Keishi pearls :) Cute, aren't they?

Black Lace $ 12

Another pair by my friend, C! Tiny white freshwater pearls with the same frame. Goes perfect with something black, or for ladies with shorter hair.

Sashay $15

This is designed by a lady with the same passion as I have for this hobby (let's call her C). Thought that you ladies might want to own something different from what I usually make. :) These are quite antique but stylish looking. Maroon garnet stones and Sawrovski crystals on shiny black frame.

Tips on removing tarnish from Sterling silver or Gold filled jewelry

I asked an expert online for advice regarding the above (Thank you Thomas!), you might find this useful:

1. It is hard to polish chains (sterling silver or goldfilled) with polishing cloth because chains are made of links and the cloth only touches the outside.

2. Storing jewelry in Ziplock bags certainly help to reduce tarnishing.

3. Thomas provided a link to a company well known for silver care product (and can be used for goldfilled too):

http://www.nancysilver.com/care_prods/jc1.htm

The Hagerty Silver Jewel Clean from above can remove tarnish for both silver and goldfilled. But to restore the shine, you will need to follow up with a wipe with a silver polishing cloth after cleaning.

4. Below is a very interesting method which I definitely will try. For sterling silver, this method will work well and leave the silver shiny:

a. Place heavy aluminum foil in the bottom of a plastic dish deep enough so jewelry may be covered with liquid. The pan cannot be made of metal!

b. Pour very hot water into the plastic pan. The water should not be boiling hot but almost boiling.

c. Add baking soda(washing soda also, bicarbonate of soda).

d. Place the jewelry onto the aluminum metal. You will see slight bubble formation and smell the smell of sulfur. The tarnish is removed quickly.

e. After a while, you will need to place a fresh piece of the aluminum into the pan; the previous will become coated with residue and will not work for tarnish removal anymore.

From Thmoas: This is a messy method but does work very well and the silver will be as shiny as it was before the tarnish coated the surface. Rinse the jewelry and dry and store properly. I have not tried this method with gold filled. You might want to try and see if it works. I have cleaned tea pots and silver cups this way and these were black in tarnish. The items became very silver again in a few minutes. You will need to keep the water hot, add soda as needed and keep the aluminum fresh and clean.

Interesting, isn't it? t's definitely worth a try! But I hope the method does not corrode the stones and pearls.

Ice Queen (Moonstone) $ 40

Another Moonstone creation! Three teardrop Moonstones with a cluster of big and small moonstones on each side. These rainbow moonstones reflect off a nice spectrum from certain angles. Very elegant when worn. Heather immediately wanted a pair when she modelled it for me! :p

Price Adjustments

With effect from 1 Oct,

1. Price of Pearlyn (big or small-pearls versions) will be adjusted to $ 50 as I have decided to use another type of goldfilled chain of slightly higher cost.

2. As there has been some 'worldwide' hikes in the price of 925 silver and precious metals, price of some jewelry will also be adjusted a little just to cover the increase in cost.

3. I would like to assure those who had previously made orders that they will not be affected in any way. Thanks! :)

Joanne and Heather's left ear modelling :)

Joanne looks great in her Secret Garden and thanks to Heather (again) for the pic. Thanks ladies! :)

Heather Modelling Hanami

A long way to go for camera phones to match up to a proper camera.... But nevertheless I must thank Heather for the pictures.

Royal Blue Bracelet $ 37 (a few pieces only)

I stringed the beautiful blue ribbon through the patterned 14K goldfilled chain. It resulted in a very special and delicate bracelet. Along the bracelet dangles 6 small good-quality garnet drops.

The blue from the ribbon complements the garnets really well. :)

Royal Blue Earrings $ 17

Simple matching Garnet earrings. Not very big actually, about 3 cm in length only.

A Cute Baby :)

This is one of the cutest I have seen so far in church - Qiyi and Xiuping's baby. My husband looked a bit akward but he was really trying his best to hold the kid.

Silver Vine $ 30

Elaine was one of the earliest to see the 'real thing' and she immediately wanted a pair! :)

Over here it is difficult to reflect the real look and elegance from the pictures because silver parts are usually over-exposed in my pictures. To show the real beauty of the Smoky Quartz and Garnet, I had little choice but to over-expose the 925 silver plant-like stem.

The silver stem definitely stands out even if you let your hair down.

Recommend a Friend!

Kissed By A Rose - FOC

As an effort to spread my blog slightly beyond my current group of great, supportive customers and friends, this pair of Kissed-by-a-Rose earrings will be given to you free when you -

1. Recommend the blog to your friends and
2. Your friend makes an order of >=$100 :)

While stocks last. Roses come in pink, light purple, peach or white. At the bottom is a natural rock crystal.

Heather $ 32

Have been wanting to make these Heather earrings for a long time ever since my friend Heather told me that the name 'Heather' refers to stalks of purple/pink flowers native to countries such as Ireland and Scottland. And Heather loves these colours.

There are two 'pots' of Rose Quartz and dark Amethyst on each side of the earrings. I hated posting up jewelry with Rose Quartz because the colours don't show well at all! The real thing 'CONFIRM' look better!!! Just imagine as best as you could that the whole thing is pinkish.

Chain is 14K goldfilled, hooks are 925 silver.

Hanami (Mismatched earrings) $ 42

Was feeling artistic when I was making this. Just LOVE the Greensleeves combo so much. Compatible in style with those in designer shops, eh? ;D

Every pair will be slightly different in unique. The yellow flower is actually carved Olive Jade. I named it Hanami because these earrings looked so Japanese and Hanami means 'beautiful flower'. Goes well with gold shoes/handbags, and remember to bun up your hair casually :)

While stocks last. I am running out of those bronze pearls. Hooks and chain are 14K gold-filled.

Sunday Pretty (Necklace) $ 52

I named this Sunday Pretty because I made it on a Sunday, and I want ladies to wear this pink creation when they are attending church or having Brunch with friends or just shopping, on many many lovely Sundays :)

It is one of those chunky but still-subtle necklaces, in a pink-gold-white combination, ready to dress you up even when you are in your simplest tee and jeans. Great with a white blouse or dress, and you would look like a young taitai :P

Rose Quartz, white and gold-coloured Mother-of-Pearl, a few big, fat, cute pearl nuggets, with a long, smooth Rose-quartz centrepiece.

Sunday Pretty (Earrings) $ 15

Earl Grey $ 30

This is another pair of earrings which I will wear myself (as you all know I hardly wear what I make). I am not a pastel-coloured person in terms of dressing up, and neither am I a 'loud-coloured' person. So this is just nice! I am quite proud of the colour combination.

This is the FIRST time I am using Smoky Quartz. To me, Smoky Quartz is like the aroma of dark, rich coffee without sugar or milk. At first, you just hated the idea of drinking it (the colour of the stone), but the more often you drink it, the better you know of its unique taste and eventually you fall in love with it.

For a long time, I couldn't quite understand why anyone would buy Smoky Quartz in jewelry-making. But now my 'stones maturity' has led me to appreciating and liking stones such as Turqoise, Ruby and Smoky Quartz.

The first picture shows the actual colour of Smoky Quartz, which is brownish-grey but clear. The other stones are olive-jade, peridot and white pearls.

Soft Glamour (Pink Amethyst) - Specially for Siew Ping

This is a beautiful necklace specially commissioned for Siew Ping, in the same style as Lady Mabel. The 14K goldfilled chain is jewelled by twelve Pink Amethyst drops. :)

Information on Pink Amethyst is quite little on the internet. But it is quite a rare stone. It is not exactly pink, as the name seems to imply, but it is more pastel purple than the usual light amethyst. Due to its rareness, the price of Pink Amethyst is relatively high. But the quality of these stones are very good as not only they have a sweet colour, they are also very clear.

Soft Glamour (Pink Amethyst) Earrings $ 27

Sheer, sleek elegance.

All parts in 14K goldfilled.
