Pink Lilies $ 58 (Very Limited) Earrings $ 17

I have been really busy and tired lately, due to work. But yesterday I went shopping again for semiprecious stones AGAIN, YEAH!!!! Even the buying part is so exciting, sometimes more so than making the jewelry! :)

Min's suggestion of a Pink Lilies Necklace. Matching earrings were posted months ago.

Aventurine, dyed jade (pink), pink coral, Mother-of-pearl, lots of Emerald chips and a Cherry Quartz as the centrepiece.

Yes I am still madly in love with the 'garden' or plants theme!!! I have managed to get more turqoise to make more Blue Forest.

Greensleeves $ 15

Min is going to love this....shades of green, from Aventurine to Canadian Jade to Amazonite, and a odd-shaped gold pearl in series.

Variations of Grapevine $ 15 per pair

Min's little girls will love these sweet little earrings! Amethyst with Peridot, and Aragonite with Peridot.

Set on either 925 silver ear studs or hooks. Pins are gold-plated.

Amethyst Gloria $ 48

This Gloria is made specially for Michelle :) What's different about it is that instead of Botswanna Agate, three large, faceted, clear Amethyst makes the centrepiece. Also, I used white pearls instead of cream pearls as they go better with purple.

Blue Forest $ 60

I am definitely keeping one of this for myself!
I have been falling in love madly with Turqoise recently. In fact when I first started out with stones, I hated it. I guess this is a form of 'growing up' in the appreciation of stones and nature. It goes the same for Ruby and Mother-of-Pearl. So YOU are witnessing my growing up! :)

Real Turqoise is quite rare actually. So each time someone gets some Turqoise, it is important to ask whether it is dyed Howlite (plentiful everywhere), or genuine Turqoise. But the best way is to use a cutter to break the stone and see if the inside of the stone is also blue. For an imitation, expect the inside to be white. Or you can tell by the big price difference which sometimes can be as much as 10 times.

Genuine Turqoise is relatively rare, and since ancient times, Egyptians have always considered it to be a Royal jewel. Information about Turqoise over the internet is abundant and interesting. There are different grades of Turqoise, and they come mostly from Amazon and Tibet, with the former ones being better generally.

Over here, I have REAL turqoise :) This is the first time I made a 'proper' piece of Turqoise jewellery. Turqoise has a unique colour, but all along I had little success in matching the right colours to its strong blue. This time round, with the help of some books, I managed to get it right. The picture here does not do much justice to its actual look and colour.

Amethyst, Moss Agate, 2 yellow freshwater pearls and MORE TURQOISE!!! Chain is 14K goldfilled. However, I used a few small dyed howlite beads to add to the shape. They are so few and small that I don't think you can tell. Goes well with grey, white and jeans, even for yellow-undertone skin people like me.

Delicate (Bracelet) $ 47

Commissioned for Heather :)

A delicate piece made of clear stones such as dark and light Amethyst, Peridot and natural Crystal. As you can tell from the many shots I took, I was trying my best to display how sparkling the whole bracelet look. Well need I say more? :P

What is worth mentioning is the the drop of Pink Amethyst (relatively rare) hanging in the middle.

Chain is 14K gold-filled, but pins are gold-plated. Necklace available.

Delicate (Mismatched Earrings) $ 33

Matching earrings.

Lady Mabel :)

This piece of princess-like jewelry is commissioned for Mabel, who has a passion for vintage-looking jewelry and hopes to have something to match a pair of Garnet earrings.

I have posted three different pictures with minor changes to the design. The second design was my original idea. However when putting it on, they tend to flip easily, but once when adjusted and worn, they will stay in place.

The first picture shows the final design of Lady Mabel, proposed by herself! It was indeed an enjoyable process tailoring it.

All materials are 14K gold-filled, including the wires. Comes with a piece of gold-polish cloth.

I am sure this design will look good with other stones such as Moonstone too.

Pink Liquid $ 29 (Only 2 pairs)

This is all about clear stones - Aquamarine, Iolite. And what exactly is that long, tear-drop dangling thingy? It is Aquamarine, but in the rare pink shade (instead of blue).

Serenity III (Moonstone) $ 32

The cut of Moonstone (in white) is quite unusual, something like chopping a pair into two halves :)

Dangling with these Moonstones are Peridot, white pearl, Carnelian and blue Apatite, which is not a common stone too. The outcome of this combination is very refreshing.

Parts in 14K gold-filled.

Just a note to all, 14K gold filled materials are BETTER than 14K gold-plated. It has 100 times more gold and therefore is often considered as good as gold. It will definitely help in understanding gold-filled material by doing a quite search over the internet.

As 14K gold-plated materials are very cheap, many accessories makers use them to lower the cost of their creations. Over here, I am very unwilling to compromise on the quality of my works and I will insist on using gold-filled materials. Only when gold-filled materials are used, jewellery can then be distinguished from accessories, and can last for a much longer time.

Victoria II $ 50

A re-make of Victoria posted in Oct 2005. This is something that I am very proud of (again)! I love the colour combination which isn't really reflected very well here. It's all just too dark and only flatters the contour of the necklace. Try to visualise:

1. Rose Quartz centrepiece - a little bit more translucent and pink than pictured on Ms Neck :)

2. Small, round Mother-of-Pearl - what you see is what you get.

3. Deep brown-metallic-dyed Mother-of-Pearl - quite close to the real thing too.

4. Pink-Orangy Botswanna Agate - imagine them to be a little more pinkish, lighter, or in between.

5. This is the thing you can't quite see: Canadian jade! Imagine the colour of authentic Japanese Mocha Glutinous ball (aka mua-chee). Capped with antique-looking spacers.

I tried matching it with my wardrobe and was surprised to find that almost ANY colour goes with it :)

Victoria II Earrings $ 15

Blue Chalcedony $ 29

It is hard to come across blue stones other than Sodalite, Lapis or Turqoise. These three blue stones are very pretty with their unique colours, but Blue Chalcedony is translucent.

The Chalcedony you see here is Oval shaped but faceted at the edges to give more shine. Set with pink freshwater pearls and colourless Swarovski crystals.

Pearl Addiction $ 15

For the pearl lovers. Big, white, very round freshwater pearls with mauve pearl and Peridot. An evergreen look for daily wear.

For Myself :D

This is an exclusive close-to-choker-length simple necklace for myself. The stone is Rhodochrosite, a bright cherry-red stone. There are varying qualities of Rhodochrosite in the market, with the redder ones being the better.

The price of Rhodochrosite is very high, close to those of precious stones (a higher hierarchy than semiprecious) such as Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire. Goes by grams!!!

If you are interested to have a chain made of a single stone, I am happy to make one with other stones such as Citrine, Blue Chalcedony etc. Price varies from stone to stone. All other parts in 14K gold (filled).

Floral Dance $ 45 (Exclusively 2 pieces only)

This is a necklace which I spent a great deal of time thinking, making and re-adjusting. These flowers are REAL flowers preserved in crystalline resin, just like the Extravaganza leaf (refer to previous posts). The necklace is asymmetrical and will definitely be a subject for conversation :)

I am tempted (still) to add 3 big, white pearls along the chain, but on the other hand, the flowers really look lovely dangling on their own. Adding the pearls is an irreversible process since they will be added along the chain, and might become too glam for office wear.

Other parts are 14K gold-filled. You won't get anything similar to this anywhere else :P

Flower Ring $ 36 (Price revised)

Can't help but to take a picture of this again before delivering it- so sweet!

Usually I will ask for the diameter of the finger and jpint section of the finger, but I find that most ladies tend to give me a diameter larger than what it really is. As a result, the ring is too big. Also, it's not advisable to measure the diameter of the ring you are wearing. Usually it is larger in size. One other way is that I will make a few rings of varying sizes and a customer chooses from among them.

Do expect small differences from ring to ring cos it's all handwork :)

Freshwater pearls make up the two flowers, and there are Peridot, Coral, Garnet and cherry Quartz.

Fruit Tree $ 56 (Version II of Mother-In-Law's Birthday Present)

When I was making this for Peggy, I had 2 regrets: 1) Not making this earlier even though I had this idea in my mind and 2) Cutting my nail the day before.

The first is understandable as the design is in the same 'era' as my earlier works and people seem to miss that era a lot! My fingers are very sore right now as I do not have enough nails on them to help. If I were to say that this piece is difficult to make (~ 5 hours), it is probably due to the stringing process when the 14K gold-filled bead holes were too small and I had to resort to all sorts of methods to push the two wires through the holes, without my nails.

But anyway I enjoyed the process and I will let my fingers rest for the next few days.

Good Peridot chips with white and peach freshwater pearls. Beads are 14K gold-filled. Other parts are in 925 silver.

Fruit Tree earrings $ 17

Matching earrings for Fruit Tree Necklace.

Sweet Innocence $ 20

This is customised for Delphine to go with her silverish-pink dress. I thought that the colour combo was really sweet and innocent!

Pink pearls with shell and Peridot. Size of remaining shells will be slightly larger than what you see in these photos (Delphine's pair).
