Nice lemon drink - Idiot-proof recipe

Ingredients:

1. 3 -4 yellow lemons (or depends on size of your pot) $1.50
2. 2 pkts of Honey Rock Sugar (can get from 福华,石蜂糖)$2.40
3. pandan leaves $0.20

Procedure:

1. Squeeze lemons to get juice.
2. Rinse pandan leaves and tie into a bundle (no rubber band please, use one of the stronger leaves).
3. Put everything into a pot of water, add the honey rock sugar and boil for 5 mins.
4. Chill for better, sweeter taste.

It's a good drink to serve for reunion dinner :) I have done this 3 times in the past 2 weeks.

Bonsai $ 42 (SOLD - Heather didn't let me keep it)

I simply love this pair. Not just the sterling silver branches (vines) and the tender-green Peridot and minty Apatite. The crystal quartz are of a rare, cute onion-shape!!! Attached on silver leverback hooks as once lost, neither one side can be replaced.
Must ask Wan where else to get onion-cut stones :p

Sharon $ 39 (Exclusively one piece) - gone!

An elegant pair of earrings is all you need to set an impression ;p

Faceted, pear shaped black Onyx set on long, sterling silver ear wires that can be opened and closed easily. Pink and white freshwater pearls complete this creation, adding a gentle contrast.

Roses and Violets $ 20 (Clearance)

Fan-shaped rose quartz with a coarse cut teams with a polymer flower and a natural coloured chalcedonay. All other parts are in sterling silver. Be your own Valentine this year!
(Note: the pink in the rose quartz is reflected very inaccurately in these pics. Imagine the colour of strawberry candy.)

I have music on my blog! Finally.

This is the second track from SNOW (Piano Collection), 雪(Yuki) by Rikiya Yamashita. I own many CDs from this series, such as 河,虹,雪etc. They are actually Japanese light music compositions rather than chinese songs.

Autumn in Alaska $ 50 (smaller citrine drops), $ 55 (bigger citrine drops)

Got this inspiration from my desktop calendar, showing a beautiful picture of Alaska Range - golden, brown, red, orange, green trees in the Autumn, for the month of January.

Citrine drops shown here are of considerable carat size. The other stones are faceted rondells of Garnet, Peridot, Carnelian and Citrine. Again, hovering above these are two gold-plated butterfiies. Earwires are goldfilled.

Something precious to keep, and something luxurious to wear for any festive season round the year. Comes in a velvet pouch.

Complimentary Earrings for over $ 100 purchase

These are red-spotted Jasper! Somehow the pink freshwater pearls look very shiny when paired with it. Everything else in 925 silver. Dainty and nice for daily wear.

Crimson Butterflies $ 42 (One pair ONLY)

Whew this is a lot of work - an hour on each side. If I were to re-produce this again, it won't be the same materials as I prefer to use my precious time (nowadays after 10pm) exploring new ideas.

Tiny coral beads clustered on gold-plated rings with a gold-plated butterfly hovering above these clusters of 'flowers'. I have hung a pink freshwater pearl and a carnelian rondell from the clusters.

Sweet! Ear wires are goldfilled.

Ming II $ 34 (2 pairs only)

Second version with Yellow Jade and natural Moonstones of peach colour. There are only 4 pieces of this colour in my strand of faceted briolettes.

The yellow jade is also rare compared to the usual green jade. It was difficult looking for 4 pieces of this doughnut to make 2 pairs.

Attached to 925 silver leverback hooks. Simple and nice.

Blossom $ 46 (Not too many remakes for exclusivity)

This is a try-out piece as I was experimenting with colour combination. Turned out to be very nice! Various stones (Rose Quartz briolettes, Amazonite, pearls, Aquamarine, Citrine, Peridot, Cherry Quartz etc etc) coming together on 14K goldfilled chains to form a really sweet bouquet.

The polymer flower is optional. 925 silver lever-back ear hooks to prevent earrings falling off.

Peppermint $40 (Only 3 pairs) - SOLD

Pretty carved jade flowers with a small carved Aventurine flowers in the middle. Love the chemistry between these two shades of green! These feminine earrings definitely add a touch of class to your wardrobe.

Slightly mismatched, 925 silver chains with freshwater pearls dangling, set on a 925 silver lobster hook to prevent them from falling off the ears without knowing.

Hobby # 3 (Not intended for sale)

A month after learning felt art, I picked up the expensive hobby of Silver Clay. Every 50g of clay costs over $100 and once 'cooked', the process is irreversible. I bought the equipments, books, clay and everything and I would say that I became very thrifty after that for quite sometime.

The clay is simply amazing. It looks mud-like but after cooking it over the stove or in the kiln, it becomes 99% silver! (Even purer than 925 silver.)

This was what I made during the workshop.

I made a few more items and gave them away. Should have taken a pic of them first!

This pendant was made by coating a layer of wet clay over a real leaf which I found at the playground.

Ok here comes something that I am VERY PROUD of. Spent over 3 hrs on it.

I just love making rings with leaf motif. Tried a few times and wasted some clay as I was attempting to make very fine rings with tiny shoots, and as the silver is too pure, the rings broke easily. Those that survived could only be worn when you don't intend to use your fingers.

This is another one of my masterpiece.

And a pendant with little silver roses.

Coming back soon

Hi I have been sorting out my 'treasures' and re-arranging them so that I know what new stuff I owned and have kept away for ages. Will be back very soon. Happy 2008!
